Karen has lent her guidance and vision in the world of interior design for more than 30 years. Her career began in New York City with Wayne Marcus Design working primarily on commercial space planning and interior design.

After relocating to Ridgefield, Connecticut, Karen ventured out on her own with a dream to focus on residential interior design. Karen Rothen Interior Design was born and flourished for the next ten years in the Ridgefield area.

In 1999, Karen Rothen relocated to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and for the last 18 years has established a reputation for unique, budget-conscious designs and exceptional service across Jacksonville and Area Beaches.

Since relocating to Northeast Florida, she has worked on more than 100 residences and commercial projects ranging in size from 2,000 to 10,000 square feet in the following areas:

– Jacksonville Beach
– Nocatee
– Ponte Vedra Beach
– Vilano Beach
– Riverside
– Naples

Throughout her career, Karen has had the opportunity to work on many executive homes including those of Duracell, Pepsi and Nine West. Her commercial projects include the redesign of The Restaurant at National Hall, a Relais & Chateau hotel in Westport, Connecticut, establishing a Design Center for Beach Terraces, a condominium project in Jacksonville Beach, Gottlieb School in Jacksonville, Ocean 14 community clubhouse in Jacksonville Beach, and a private aircraft.
